New to Agriculture Teaching Workshop

Aim: To introduce new teachers to the subject of Ag. This workshop is open to graduate ag teacher and teachers new to the subject of Ag. We aim to cover everything you need to know from curriculum planning, running animals & animal ethics plus shows and everything inbetween. 

Where: To be held at Urrbrae Ag High School. Exact building TBC. 

Time: 9am  Approximate finish of 3:30pm

Catering: Morning Tea & Lunch provided (please advise us of any dietary requirements when you register)

10:10am SACE options – Stage One & Stage Two. Subject outlines, key dates, programming, buddies

10:40am Morning tea

11:00am Finances & managing a school farm on a budget

11:30am Animal Ethics. AEC100, AEC110, weekends, NLIS, NVD, PIC numbers

12:00pm WHS

12:30pm Lunch

1:30pm Lesson plans and how to hook the kids

2:00pm Show Programs – options, checklists, key dates

2:30pm Where to now and what have we missed?

3:00pm Urrbrae site tour
